The eye as interface

Why close-up vision photography still outruns abstract tech metaphors in performance branding.
When a brand sells vision, the product is not only a lens — it is attention. A tight crop on the iris, overlaid with sparse type and a measured grid, says more about precision than any circuit illustration ever will.
We treat the eye as an interface: something the audience already knows how to read. Grain, reflection, and a single data overlay keep the frame editorial instead of clinical.
The lesson for campaign work is simple. If the category is optical, start with looking. Technology can annotate; it should not replace the human signal.
Art direction that respects the body ages better than art direction that cosplays as software.
